More or less a follow up to my last post, so i write this with all tentativeness, for fear of totally jinxing myself.

So, the day i wrote the previous entry, we took Charlie to the vet. Yadda yadda yadda. More yadda yadda and an appointment for next week to sedate him and check his larynx later..more yadda.

The next day, i noticed something...odd. I went to mom and said, "Mom, listen!"

"I don't hear anything."

Exactly. We both looked at Charlie, who was resting...quietly. No snorts, snores, struggles for breathing, and i'd walked him a few minutes before.

That's how it's been for a few days. No excessive panting for breath, none of his usual racket and rattle. Just..snoring. But, he's always snored.

So i was working in the kennels at the vet clinic, and Charlie's vet approached me to inform me that Charlie's thyroid tests were normal.

I told her how he's been, and she just gave me a pleased smile and said, "Of course. I touched him, after all."

"Like a faith healer," one of the techs said, grinning, extending her hand in the air. "By the power of all holy within, i heal thee!"

It's not to say Dr. C "Healed Thee," and she claims he couldn't have dropped weight enough to make a difference in a few days.

So...*knock wood*
