It has come to my attention that I'm pretty sure i've been in NYC every weekend for the past few weeks.
Not that i'm complaining...at all.
I joined a Meetup group called the NYC British Book, Movie, Theatre and Comedy group, and tomorrow, in the spirit of ol' Blighty's Notting Hill Carnival, the group is hosting of of their own!
Including but not limited to:
BRIGHT COLORS, PEOPLE.
BRIGHT. COLORS!
At first, i was a bit puzzled because it's so awesome, but it looked like it was just going to be me and the organizer. But she informed me that the group was joining up with another British group, and over 50 people were attending.
I'm really, really excited. Sucky part is it's my first meetup with the group, and i'm going alone..but..should be fun!

Date: 2010-08-31 04:16 am (UTC)x.x Yea... mine was a 10 hour bus ride, AFTER a 2 1/2 hour car ride the night before. Though, granted, if the bus hadn't taken us down into Boston first it would have been shorter.
Actually have been trying to plan out another trip...but... it's gonna take me at least a year + to earn enough money. Damn you pricey hotels. Damn you.
One of the most frustrating parts is we have friends of the family who live in Brooklyn most of the year. x.x Mum refuses to impose on them. And they're more her friends then mine, so yea.
Gaaah. Theatre. Love. love. love. Every aspect. One of my earliest loves, in fact. It's all the fault of "Camelot." I feel so out of touch with it where I am, though. I feel like I only know a sliver of the theatre world now. And this is sadness.
*stops rant now*
