Here, have some copy pasta.

---

Somewhere between bonding over near apocalyptic experiences, Ianto noticed something out of the ordinary. Not in the 'Aliens are trying to take over the world, my boss is immortal, and there's an Angel of the Lord sitting in the boardroom' sense. It was worse...far worse.

The angel-Castiel- had been there for nearly two hours, and his cup of coffee was untouched.

It did odd things to Ianto's ego, having his pride and joy rejected by an angel .

"Is there a problem?" Ianto ventured, finally. The angel fixed him with a solemn, blue-eyed gaze.

"There are many problems," Castiel replied. "Lucifer-"

"The coffee," Ianto says. The end of the world could wait..it always had. "Do you..prefer tea?" The angel was essentially American, so Ianto was a bit thrown by the prospect.

"There is nothing wrong with the coffee," Castiel replied, before tilting his head. "Although, i wouldn't know."

"I'm not accustomed to my coffee being turned down, is all," Ianto shrugged. "Not by anyone who's had it."

The beat that followed lasted a bit too long.

"I have never had reason to try it," Castiel's tone was flat, as if the concept of coffee meant nothing to him. "I have no need to eat, or drink."

"You've never had coffee." Ianto matched the angel's tone, incredulous. Castiel's head tilted, affirmative. "What do you mean, you've never had coffee?"

"Again," had the angel a wide array of expressions, Ianto could have sworn he looked irritated. "I have never had the need-"

Ianto rose, shoulders set with determination, and fetched the angel a fresh cup. He would not be denied.

Intense blue eyes locked on equally determined gray-blue in a silent battle.

"Drink." Ianto's tone brooked no argument. No fear. "It's the hospitable thing to do, wouldn't you say?"

Castiel's brows furrowed in concentration as he raised the steaming liquid to his lips, and sipped.

"Oh." There was a new sort of wonder in the angel's rough voice. It was enough to appease Ianto.

~

Later, the angel of the Lord vanished from the Hub, weapons tucked beneath one arm, and three steaming thermos' under the other.
