Funny what the things you find out...

A friend of mine has not, in fact, dropped off the face of the planet, as i had thought.

Phone calls that never went through, web searches that came up with naught.

I missed him, is all. and i hated not knowing what was going on in his life because he had made such a huge impact on mine.

One day, mom's hanging out in my room, and says casually, "Oh, i ran into Sue -so and so-"

That was my missing-friends mom.

She filled me in on what she could, and i was pleased.

This morning, in the car, i was explaining Facebook to my father, and told him i just couldn't find this one friend.

Dad simply stretched his hands against the wheel and said, "Oh, i saw him the other day at Blockbuster, didn't i tell you?"

Of course not.

I've only been trying to track him down for ages. Why tell me?
