Graduated today, hallelujah!
I was a total bitch though, i'll be perfectly honest. I was trading mumbled comments with Dana. Guilty as charged. Not disrespectfully, but come on. ADD meter was spazzing.
I'm mincing words. A) because i'm tired and B) because i don't have much to say.
We (mom, dad, heather, bubbie, grandma, uncle bruce, uncle al, aunt linda, me, and jack) went to the local Fiddleheads for lunch. That was nice...food was good, toasts made, stories shared, gifts given...
YES! TICKETS TO PUTNAM COUNTY SPELLING BEE!EEEEE!
The manager of the restaurant (who is on very good terms with my parents) found out about my future aspirations in ASL. She called over our waitress, who ended up having 2 Deaf parents.
The mother works (worked?) at Mill Neck, and she was in Jeanette's Sound and Fury video!
After a bit of talking, (And bubbie's persistant 'talk to each other, talk to each other!' to the waitress) the waitress stops and goes, "Jeanette has 3 boys".
Connections people. I have another hook to Mill Neck, and an opportunity to work at the two week summer program. *beams*
